LPVEC: As the Districts have agreed to fund transportation at least for the three week shutdown, the Union was successful in negotiating drivers and monitors getting paid for their average hours for these days, minus two days. Two days out of the current three week shutdown are being made up in June, as of now, and so the Employer cannot pay drivers and monitors twice. As such, Drivers and Monitors shall be allowed to use sick or personal days to be paid at 4hrs per day for these two days. Outside of the two days Drivers and Monitors will be paid their average hours for the remainder of the three week shutdown. The Employer may have folks come in to clean a bus or work on a few of these days. If you wish to be paid on these days you will need to come in and work on these days when asked.
