FCC: Several workers and the Union Rep reached out to the Greenfield Mayor's office to mandate masks by customers and employees in Greenfield essential businesses. This is also a problem at Stop & Shop.  The Mayor has issued an advisory.  We also have the GM's agreement to work on social distancing and headcounts.  FCC has secured small business support around the Payroll Protection Act passed by Congress.

FCC: Last week, grocery workers were classified as first responders by the state and eligible for priority covid testing when requested through their employer.  We interpret this to also mean co-op grocery workers.  Anyone receiving pushback is urged to contact the Union.  We fought to get this option and co-op workers deserve it too.

FCC: There is a new executive order from the Governor's office designating grocery workers as first responders for the purpose of priority covid testing. This is something Local 1459 has pushed for in conjunction with the Mass AFL-CIO State Federation.  The program starts April 11, by appointment in West Springfield.

FCC. Reduced hours and closed on Sunday.  We are trying to implement a Work share program to avoid any layoffs.  One works 6, pools the work to be done and applies for 2 hours Unemployment Assistance.  This might work.
